Please note: The Pell Grant does not apply to non-credit programs.

LifeLong Learning Payment Deadline & Refund Policy

Payment Deadline

Payment is due at the time of registration for all LifeLong Learning classes and is required to complete the registration process. When you register, a seat is reserved which obligates you to pay fees for that seat. If your payment is not sufficient or subsequently adjusted for changes in scholarship or sponsor authorization, Delta College reserves the right to drop you for non-payment or submit your unpaid student account balance to a legal collection process. You'll be responsible to pay any collection and attorney fees resulting from a legal collection process. If you drop from your class, any refund due to you will be processed in accordance with the LifeLong Learning Refund Information posted below.

LifeLong Learning Department Refund/Retake Information

100% REFUND one business day prior to the start date of class. Some LifeLong Learning classes have non-refundable, non-transferrable fees (such as Motorcycle Safety). 

We realize that extenuating circumstances may arise on or after the start date of the class. In those cases, please complete the Delta College LifeLong Learning Request for Refund/Retake Form and submit it with supporting documentation. Return the completed form and documentation to LifeLong Learning within one week of withdrawal/drop from class for review. If submitting the form electronically, you may attach supporting documentation via email to Once received, you'll be notified of a determination regarding your request within two business days.

Registration is easy!

Class registrations are due two weeks prior to class start date. Classes are available on a first come, first served basis and fill quickly. If the class you wish to register for is FULL call LifeLong Learning to discuss available options.

  2. Payment is required at time of registration. Have your credit card ready.
  3. Search for classes by course number or keywords (i.e. CFC-1010 or Photography).
  4. Select class and follow on-screen instructions.

Who we are

LifeLong Learning provides non-credit, short-term job training, continuing education, professional development and personel enrichment classes for adults in the following areas: Health, Business, Technical Trades and Life & Leisure. We also provide youth programming such as Summer Camps and SAT test preparation.

Who we teach

Our students are a very diverse population of learners from elementary school to retirement age and include job seekers looking to start a new career, local professionals wishing to continue their education or expand their knowledge, community members who want to explore a new hobby or try something different and youth of the Great Lakes Bay Region. 

Our LifeLong Learning classes vary from 2-3 hour workshops to 5-15 week job training programs and are designed to give students an opportunity to learn, work and grow.

Our Summer Camps focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) and the Arts and range anywhere from 1-4 days during last two weeks of June and July. They are held Monday through Thursday during the hours of 8:30am - 4:00pm and encourage campers to build, create and explore.

What we look for

Our instructors are community experts in their subject area; willing to share their knowledge, experience and passion with others. Our instructors have a professional certification and/or licensure in their field, 3-5 years related experience plus experience in teaching, training and/or mentoring. Many of our instructors even meet our preferred requirements of a Bachelor’s Degree equivalent or higher with 5+ years related experience, in addition to experience teaching adults and/or youth (in the case of Summer Camps) and developing programs and professional learning materials.

Our instructors are committed professionals working on an as needed/per class basis with availability to teach day, evening and/or weekends. Additionally, Summer Camp instructors are committed professionals working on an as needed/per camp basis with availability to teach a camp (or camps) in the late June through July timeframe from Monday through Thursday during the hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm.

  2. Save the completed proposal to your computer or flash drive.
  3. Have access to an electronic copy of your current résumé.
  4. Submit your proposal AND résumé via email attachments to
