LIT 227C, The American Motion Picture

Prerequisite: Prerequisite: READING LEVEL 4 and WRITING LEVEL 2. Concurrent enrollment in ENG 111 or ENG 112 in a coordinated learning community. Studies popular films, with major emphasis on American culture as reflected in the motion picture. Examines the effect of the images portrayed in motion pictures on the perception of American society and history; topics vary from semester to semester. Credit may be earned in either LIT 227 or LIT 227C, but not both. (45-0)
