Lauren Smith, Assistant Professor

 How to Contact Ms. Smith:

Lauren Smith teaches composition, creative writing, developmental writing, and developmental reading.

Lauren's narrative and critical essays have appeared in peer-reviewed publications including The Writer's Chronicle, The Umbrella Factory, and New Madrid. Cambridge Scholars Publishing has accepted her essay, "When the Need Arises," for inclusion in an anthology on the life of introverts. She is the recipient of the 2011 Karen MacArthur Endowed Teaching Chair for digital storytelling, and she serves as the editor-in-chief of the Pioneer Post, Delta's online literary magazine for students. A representative of Safe Space, Lauren acts as the faculty advisor for Unison, Delta's organization for LGBTQ students and their allies.
