Independent financial audits of all of our programs – including the Delta College Foundation, Delta College Quality Public Broadcasting, federal and state grants, and more – are always clean. They are a strong affirmation to the voters of Bay, Midland and Saginaw Counties that donations and taxpayer dollars are well-managed and being spent exactly as promised.
Delta College uses funds wisely to make the greatest impact on students.
Almost $3.25 million was contributed to Delta College last year by individuals, companies and foundations from the private sector. These donations were used to support student scholarships and other activities, as well as the College’s public broadcasting stations. Over the past decade, Delta College has ranked as one of the top community colleges nationally in its fundraising efforts.
In addition, we have established – with the support of thousands of individuals, companies and foundations from the private sector who believe in investing in students – an Endowment Fund (with a current market value of nearly $18 million) to assist with program needs and provide students with financial help through scholarships.
Economic impact studies show that more than 62 percent of our graduates remain in the Great Lakes Bay Region area (with 87 percent remaining in Michigan). The College contributes more than $38.9 million annually to the regional economy through employee earnings and college expenditures. The College serves as an economic catalyst for the region and beyond.
