Dawn Schmidt Mathematics Award

This is an award designed to encourage students who are interested in pursuing a career in mathematics education at the elementary, secondary or post-secondary level.
Criteria are:
- Have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Have completed 30 or more college-level credits, at least nine of which are mathematics courses at Delta College completed within the last three calendar years.
- Have a declared intention of transferring to an accredited four-year institution to pursue a degree in mathematics or mathematics education.
- Students interested in elementary education should complete MTH 115, MTH 116 and one course at the level of MTH 120 or above at Delta College.

Students interested in secondary education should complete MTH 162 or above at Delta College.

Students interested in post-secondary education should complete two mathematics courses at the level of MTH 208 or above.

Skip Renker Award for Creative Writing

Students submit writings and a committee chooses the winner. The award is given out at the English Division Meeting in April. The winner is notified and asked to attend this meeting. See details and application information.
The Foundation Office is notified at least two weeks before the award is presented in order to process a $500 honorarium and have the individual award engraved for the recipient. If there are not enough funds available to cover the honorarium and engraving of award, the balance should be taken from Foundation Funded Projects.

Paul Moore Social Science Award
Student must be actively pursuing classes within a social science curriculum.
Criteria are:

They must have completed at least two social science courses and be enrolled in a third class at the time of submitting their application.
- Student will have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 within their Delta College social science coursework.
- Interest from the endowment will be awarded to students who have been selected by the Paul Moore Social Science Award Selection Committee.
