Humanities Division faculty engage students in holistic learning. They offer courses in a variety subjects within Art, Electronic Media Broadcasting, Communication, Foreign Languages, Music, and Philosophy disciplines. Studying Humanities fosters student development by cultivating creativity, critical thinking skills, and knowledge. It encourages an awareness of diverse educational experiences that contribute to student intellectual, emotional and spiritual awareness and growth.

Renaissance and Medieval costume exhibit featuring live models, dancers and musicians. Following the demonstration, the audience will have an opportunity to learn more about "body politic" and ask questions of artist and faculty member, Sherri Archer.

Inspired jazz performance by University of Tennessee Singers, 12-member vocal jazz ensemble under the direction of composer and jazz pianist, Wendel Werner.

Wednesday, March 19, 2014 7:00 PM

A class experience enabling attendees to understand and practice the mechanics of vocal jazz singing and improvisation. Class will be taught by Wendel Werner, with members of the UT Singers ensemble.

Cost: Free and open to the public


Friday, March 28, 2014 5:00 PM

Support 30 Delta College choir members with travel expenses to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Auction at 5pm and Dinner at 6pm. Entertainment provided by the Delta College Jazz Choir.

Location: Delta College Planetarium, Bay City

Cost: $40 a ticket
