Transfer Facts
More than 40 percent of students plan to transfer. And it's a brilliant plan. Students find credits more easily and they get more personalized attention – all while saving a bundle of money.
You'll find a variety of choices within this option. Delta offers associate of arts or science degrees to take you anywhere. But we also offer more than 150 pre-approved transfer programs -- called articulation agreements -- with 27 universities, if you know exactly where and what you want to study.
Consider this: Tuition at Delta College is $2,580 a year for 30 credit hours. That same credit load would cost $7,680 at Saginaw Valley State University, $12,622 at Michigan State University, and about $33,000 at a private institution such as Alma College. And that doesn’t include books, fees or housing.
That means if you spend two years at a Delta and transfer to a four-year university for the rest of your education, you can save thousands of dollars.
Transfer students get exactly the same diploma as students who spent four years—and a lot more money—at a four-year institution. While Delta College academic courses come in a slightly different wrapper, the quality and content are top-notch. Classes are small, the faculty is committed to teaching, and Delta credits transfer to universities all over the country.
