Radio Broadcasting & Journalism: In Your Words
Campers will acquire the skills to run radio program, print journalism and how to report stories that are relevant to their realities by utilizing computers, handheld recorders, audio interfaces, software and their community. They will learn advanced editing techniques in the latest audio editing software and how to produce a series of podcasts. They will also learn basic journalistic techniques for print and the internet. Upon completion of the program we hope campers will have a better understanding of their community and how to use radio and print journalism to give a voice in their community. Students need to bring a flash drive and digital recorder, if possible.
