College Reading and Learning Association Tutor Training Certification
The Tutor Training Program at the T/LC is certified at Regular/Level 1, Advanced/Level 2, and Master/Level 3 by the College Reading and Learning Association. Each level of certification requires ten hours of training and twenty-five contact hours working with students.
All student Tutors must complete ten hours of training before they begin working with students; Structured Learning Assistance (SLA) Leaders receive an additional hour. All will receive up to twenty hours of training in their first semester of employment, and continue their training in subsequent semesters.
