Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Students desiring to obtain a CNA license may register online for CNA-100W (classroom) and a corresponding CNA 100LW (clinical) section. Prerequisites include Delta College Admissions Application and COMPASS Testing achieving a Reading Level 4, Writing Level 3, and Math Level 2. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
CNA courses are offered Fall, Winter, and Spring/Summer semesters. Schedules vary from semester to semester. Class size is limited to 16 students per classroom, and 8 students per clinical section. Please check the online schedule at www.delta.edu for the most current CNA course offerings.

A physical examination is required prior to entry into the CNA course, as well as a current negative TB test, proof of immunizations (Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR), Tetanus (TD), and Hepatitis B. CPR for the Healthcare Provider is a part of the CNA program. CNA students do not need to complete a CPR course prior to entry into the CNA program.
Fingerprinting must also be completed before entering the clinical agency. The cost to students for Fingerprinting is $75. Please make checks payable to Delta College. Students must go to the Delta College Bookstore and tell them you are there to pay for fingerprinting for the nursing/cna program. The Bookstore will then give you a receipt/voucher for payment. You must schedule your fingerprinting with the Public Safety Office in N102. Simply present your completed Delta College LiveScan Fingerprint Request form and your receipt/voucher (obtained from the college bookstore) to the Public Safety Office, then schedule your fingerprinting appt. Fingerprinting is good for only 90 days prior to entering the CNA program.
Students are not eligible for a course refund, beyond the college defined refund period, if a determination has been made by the clinical agency to prevent the student from entering the facility for any reason.
