Possible Dream Program

Broadening Horizons

"The Possible Dream program has encouraged me to set higher goals. I wanted to get all A's and I did. I would have never thought I could do that in 6th grade. Also, before I started the program, I wanted to stay in Midland and have a normal job, but now I want to move to California and be a director of photography."

Activities and Benefits

For many young people who lack financial resources, going to college can be afar-off dream. But Delta College, and its supporters, can make it happen! The Possible Dream Program encourages students to reach their highest potential, with priority consideration for a scholarship when they graduate!

Students are provided cultural and educational opportunities that broaden their horizons. Our students are exposed to college life and are given the opportunity to explore higher education. The ultimate goal is for all Possible Dream participants to graduate from high school and then go on to college. We can make that happen with special scholarships to those who attend Delta College.

In addition, the Possible Dream Programs offers enrichment activities that are continually expanding to meet the needs of the students.

Our newsletter, Dream Catcher, includes news of upcoming program events, student contributions, information about program procedures and policies, birthdays, student accomplishments, and notes from the program director.

The Possible Dream program encourages students to graduate high school and attend college, and enriches students by allowing them to participate in a variety of activities that broaden their horizons.

All activities are free to Possible Dream Program participants. The Possible Dream Program is fully funded by the generosity of our sponsors and attendees of "A Chocolate Affair," our annual fund raising event.

Possible Dream activities include:

Test prep, study skills and college readiness workshops.
