Arrival at the Conference

Enter from Mackinaw Road on the West side of campus.  Follow the green signs towards the E/F wings and enter the building at the West Side Main Entrance which is between the E and F wings. When you enter the building, make a slight right turn and take the stairs down to the lower level. Turn right at the bottom of the stairs and enter the large open Commons area.  Registration and breakfast will be outside room N007. The vendor area will be in room N007.
If you enter off Delta Road or Hotchkiss Road follow the green signs to the E/F wings on the west side of the building.


When you arrive, registration will be in the East Commons.  If you bring a nametag holder from a past conference, you will be entered into a prize drawing.

The Conference Room Rate is  $99 ($109.89 per room with taxes for up to 4 occupants) each night for Thursday- Saturday, September 26-28, 2013. Call the hotel directly to reserve your room at  989-891-6000 or 800-222-TREE . Ask for the Delta College- College Chemistry Consortium Conference rate. Rooms will be held at this rate until September 5, 2013.  You must reserve with a credit card and cancel by 6:00 pm on the day prior to your arrival to avoid charges.  Courtesy transportation to MBS airport is provided.  Ask for information on the transportation when making your hotel reservations. This hotel is conveniently located in downtown Bay City in easy walking distance to many restaurants and area attractions. Shuttle service to and from the conference will be provided both Friday and Saturday for $4 each day.  Please sign up for shuttle service when you register for the conference. There are many other hotels from the major chains available in the tri-county area within a 20 minute drive to the college.  In Saginaw choose a hotel on or near Tittabawassee Road.  In Midland choose a hotel on/near Eastman Road. In Bay City choose a hotel on/near Wilder Road.  All of these locations would require a rental car (or a very expensive taxi ride) to reach the college.


MBS International Airport (Code: MBS):  MBS International Airport is approximately 7 miles away from Delta College.  Connections are available on Delta Air Lines (through Detroit and Minneapolis) and United Airlines (through Chicago).  A free shuttle to the Doubletree Hotel in Downtown Bay City will be available from the airport.  Rental cars are also available at the airport. Flint Bishop International Airport (Code: FNT):  Flint’s airport is approximately 1 hour from Delta College’s campus and downtown Bay City.  Multiple different connections are available through Delta Airlines, United Airlines, American Airlines, and Southwest Airlines.  NO shuttle is available between the airport and Delta College.  A rental car will be necessary. Some travelers may also choose to fly into Detroit Metro (Code: DTW).; A rental car would be necessary for the 2+ hour drive to Delta College. Shuttle service will be available between Delta and the DoubleTree.  Choose this option for $4 each day when you register for the conference.

Conference Dining Options

Breakfast will be provided on campus Friday and Saturday.Lunch is available for $10 each day.  Friday: soup, salads, and sandwiches.  Saturday: Outdoor barbecue with hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers.Note:  Because of the College's rural setting, there are no nearby dining options.  The College's food service will be open on Friday, but not on Saturday.There will be a dinner banquet Friday evening at the DoubleTree Hotel.  Choose this at conference registration for $30.Saturday Dinner Cruise (dinner and a stargazing sail) on the Schooner Appledore (a tall ship homeported in Bay City, Michigan) on Saginaw Bay (part of Lake Huron).  Registration is closed for this event.
