Procedures
Eligible employees who apply and are approved for a Sabbatical Leave will receive their salary and fringe benefits as follows:

- One Semester Sabbatical Leave - The employee will receive their regular salary and fringe benefits. The retirement contribution made by the college for retirement for the Michigan Public School Employees Retirement System or the Optional Retirement Plan (TIAA-CREF) will not continue while on a paid Sabbatical Leave.
- Two Semester Sabbatical Leave - The employee will receive one-half of their regular
salary and the benefits will be on a self-pay basis for the second semester of the
leave. The retirement contribution made by the college for the Michigan Public School
Employees Retirement or the Optional Retirement Plan (TIAA-CREFF) will not continue
while on a paid or unpaid Sabbatical Leave.
Any salary and fringe benefit questions relating to the Sabbatical Leave should be directed to the Human Resources Office.
