2.070 Participation In Professional Societies and Conferences

1. Senate Assembly members are encouraged to participate in professional associations as members and/or officers. Senate Assembly members are also encouraged to attend meetings and conferences of those associations.  Reimbursement for professional development will be made through established College reimbursement policies.
   • Professional Development Allowance for A/P Staff
   • Professional Development Allowance for Faculty
   • Professional Development Allowance for Support Staff
   • Education and Travel Grants Procedure
2. Senate Assembly members may be requested to represent and participate in various associations, meetings or conferences by the College. The College will reimburse the individual(s) for approved expenses through the resources of the College Office or Department/Division making the request for special assignment.
3. Upon return, Senate Assembly members may be asked to share information based on authorizing College Office’s, Department’s or Division/Discipline’s Procedures.
