3.045 Joint-Appointment Criteria and Procedures

    1. A Joint Appointment is the appointment of full-time Delta Administrative/Professional Staff to adjunct teaching positions as part of their assigned responsibilities.
      Administrative/Professional Staff who are Joint-Appointees must:
      1. Teach for the division into which they are appointed..
      2. Meet academic requirements and hiring plans and procedures of the discipline or division.
      3. Provide academic input appropriate for their teaching position as Administrative/Professional Staff who are Joint-Appointees.
    2. Procedures for determining the ratio of full-time Administrative/Professional responsibilities to teaching duties will be made by the academic Associate Dean, immediate supervisor, appropriate Executive Staff member and Human Resources.
    3. Within this policy Joint Appointments are not eligible for academic promotion.
