President's Office Committees

All appointments to these committees are made by the President.

Advisory Committees
Each vocational academic program has an advisory committee composed primarily of individuals outside the educational profession who advise and assist College personnel regarding building and maintaining sound vocational educational programs, based on the needs of the career field, employers, and the community.

Equity Office Advisory Committee
The function of the Committee is to advise and consult with the Equity Officer in the formulation and implementation of Equal Opportunity College policies and procedures.

Budget Cabinet
The Budget Cabinet includes faculty and staff serving in the following capacities as of July 1; Chair of Council of Chairs, Chair of ECAPS, Chair of FEC, Chair of Faculty Salary Committee, Chair of Support Staff Committee, Dean of Academic Administration, Dean of Student and Educational Services, Director of Planning (non-voting), Executive Director of Communication Technology, Representative of Food Service/Maintenance Union, Vice President of Business and Finance; and a Representative of the Board of Trustees. In addition, five Faculty are appointed at-large by the President and the immediate past chair serves as a member if that person is not appointed through one of the listed positions. The Cabinet makes recommendations to the President regarding budget allocations, changes in tuition and fees, and other budget-related issues as requested by the President or agreed upon by a majority of the Cabinet. The Budget Cabinet is also responsible for establishing and maintaining effective, two-way communication with the remaining faculty and staff regarding budget-related issues.

Executive Council
The Council includes the Executive Staff, Academic Services, Student and Educational Services, Deans, and the Information Technology Contract Administrator. The function of the Council is to make decisions regarding budget, College procedures, personnel, policy recommendations, and to recommend annual goals for the College. The Council meets at least biweekly, with additional meetings as needed.

Administrative Technology Advisory Committee
The Committee’s charge is to review and recommend standards for Administrative technology that affects all non-classroom technologies throughout multiple division/departments.  The committee evaluates new technologies, software & hardware, and communicates the colleges policies and procedures to all employees.  Finally, the committee provides feedback as to the services provided to the college by the Office of Information Technology.

Position Review Committee
The Position Review Committee is charged with reviewing and evaluating Support and Administrative/Professional Staff Position Information Questionnaires (PIQs) using the current compensation system guidelines.

President's Forum
The President’s Forum includes the managers and directors of major College departments; and heads of Faculty, Administrative/Professional, Support, and Maintenance and Food Service groups. Its function is to react to proposals and ideas for College activity and to communicate to Delta College members of the Council the concerns and perspectives of other College employees. The Council meets with the President on a regular, scheduled basis.

Student Awards Committee
This committee is comprised of both faculty and staff members, and its function is to facilitate the selection of worthy graduates for departmental, Board of Trustees, and all other College awards which are given at commencement.

Information Technology Strategic Planning Team
The ITSPT consists of membership from the Instructional Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC) and the Administrative Technology Advisory Committee (ATAC) and meets on an annual basis.  On a three year cycle, the committee will develop an Information Technology Strategic Plan (ITSP) to guide college resources and efforts.   Annually, the committee will meet to review progress on the current plan, evaluate the plan for adjustments or changes, and advise the college on status and correctness of the current plan.
