- Delta College courses taken by AP and Support Staff members must be after normal working
hours. Exception to this regulation is made by the Human Resources Office at the request
of the supervisor or with prior permission of the supervisor if the following conditions
are met:
- The course is offered only during working hours.
- The supervisor is able to arrange adequate coverage of the position.
- Time-off is charged to vacation or additional hours are worked to make it up. (Working lunch periods will not be considered a satisfactory make-up arrangement.) Relief periods may, with the prior consent of the supervisor, be used as make-up time while attending daytime class at Delta (applies to Support Staff only).
- Written notification must be sent by the Dean, Director or immediate supervisor to the Human Resources Office, including a statement of how the time is to be made up.
