The Monster Light Show returns to the Delta Planetarium

September 30, 2024

The Monster Light Show

Every Saturday in October with performances at 2pm and 7pm.

The Delta College Planetarium in Bay City will celebrate the Halloween season with a music entertainment show specially designed for families and adults.
The Monster Light Show
plays every Saturday in October at 2pm and 7pm, from October 5 through October 26.

Audiences can enjoy classic and favorite Halloween tunes such as “Bad Moon Rising,” “Scary Monsters Super Creeps,” “This Is Halloween,” “Monster Mash,” “Spirit in the Sky” and “Thriller,” all set to immersive 3D animation and light effects inside the planetarium’s Dome360 Theater. Suited for family audiences, the visuals can be funny, spooky, mesmerizing and sometimes spinning through imaginative landscapes.

“While popular with families, we see all ages coming as well,” says Mike Murray, manager of the planetarium. “It has become a classic favorite of the Halloween season, and we love that it draws such a wide audience. Some of the special effects are performed live, giving each show a unique flavor.”
