For Delta College students, learning doesn’t always happen in the classroom. Travel scholarships through the Delta College Foundation can help students take their education on the road, or even across the world.
Applications are officially open, and funding is available for both domestic and international opportunities.
For Delta student Megg Cook, travel scholarships helped make a spring 2026 study abroad trip to Japan possible.
“Delta College’s travel scholarship paid for about a third of my trip and ultimately ended up being the crux that made the trip possible for me,” Cook said. “It meant the world to me, literally, seeing as it was helping me travel to the other side of the world.”
Domestic travel funding can support academic credit experiences such as conferences, workshops, courses and class-related trips. Depending on the opportunity, students may apply individually, or faculty and staff may request group travel.
You can join one of Delta's group trips or use of one of the college's partners in the College Consortium for International Studies to join a different U.S. group's trip.
International travel scholarships are also available to current Delta students planning eligible study abroad experiences. Students are encouraged to begin planning early because international travel requires additional time and preparation.
“Never hold yourself back when it comes to applying for scholarships; you never know what you’ll be selected for and what opportunities will open to you,” Cook said.
