If you're techy and like computers, code and analytics, you'll probably really like programming. With this degree, you'll learn how to create, solve problems and write in a variety of computer programming languages.

Designing original solutions to problems, creating new applications, identifying deficiencies in existing programs, developing solutions by updating, modifying and repairing existing software are types of work you, as a programmer, may do. Programmers work across all industries and are greatly sought after.  

After successfully completing the program, you will be qualified to seek an entry-level position as a Programmer, Programmer Analyst, Application Developer, Software Engineer or other related professions in mobile, web, game or systems development. Many students transfer on to a university.

Choose a track

Our degree program includes three tracks, so you can decide which high-demand specialty is best for you: programming, web development and game development.

Programming

This track provides a broad foundation in computer programming concerts and languages. It includes courses in a variety of popular languages, along with data structures and software development methodologies.

Web development

This track focuses on the skills needed to design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications. It often includes learning languages like HTML, CSS and JavaScript, as well as understanding web servers and databases. 

Game development

This track introduces students to programming languages used in game development, as well as game design principles, 2D/3D graphics and game engines. 

Program details

Our degree prepares you for careers in programming. You'll attend classes in the newly renovated information technology, computer science and office professions wing. The 16,500-square-foot renovation upgraded and revitalized the area to provide state-of-the-art computer labs, classrooms and study spaces.
