Want to assist youth who need to overcome social and economic barriers? Youth services often focus on adolescents suffering from abuse and neglect and those involved in delinquent activities. With your help, these young people can capitalize on their personal strengths and reach their potential.
The Youth Services certificates provide current and future youth care workers with the skills needed to work with juveniles in many different settings. The program is geared toward human services. Study areas focus on family dynamics and juvenile delinquency.
We work closely with area agencies that provide youth services such as Wolverine Human Services and Lutheran Child and Family Service. In fact, many employers consult with Delta College faculty regularly to ensure the program is preparing students well for successful youth service careers with their companies.
