Microsoft Word 2013

Word is the processing software that allows you to create a variety of professional-looking documents such as letters, flyers, and more. In our Word training courses, you will gain an understanding of the basic functionality and then build on your basic skills to learn more intermediate and advanced capabilities like how to use tables, mail merges, create hyperlinks, add borders and shading, merge cells, design web pages, create and edit styles, and use the Document Map.


Microsoft Word Basic

This course will cover the basic functions and features of Microsoft Word. You will learn how to use the Help system and navigate documents, enter and edit text, create and save documents, and learn how to enhance the appearance of a document by using various formatting options. You will also create tables, insert headers and footers, proof and print documents, and insert graphics.

Microsoft Word Intermediate

This course will build on the skills and concepts taught in Word Basic.  You will work with styles, sections, and columns and will use the Navigation pane to work with outlines, format tables, print labels and envelopes, and work with graphics. You will also use document templates, manage document revisions, and work with Web features.

This course builds on the skills and concepts taught in Word Intermediate.  You will perform mail merges, create and use forms, and create master documents that include a table of contents, a table of figures, footnotes, endnotes, an index, bookmarks, cross-references, and Web frames. You will also create macros, customize the ribbon and Quick Access toolbar, and work with XML documents.
