Whether you are new to Delta, or transferring on, it's good to know how to get a copy of your transcript when you need one. Requesting one is easy and can be done online, 24/7.
Your transcript is an official record of your academic activity. It shows your courses and grades, along with semester and cumulative grade point averages, honors, degrees and certificates.
Types of Transcripts
There are two types of transcripts, official and unofficial.
- An official transcript bears the official seal of the college. If you are transferring to another college, the transcript is sent (electronically or by mail) directly from Delta. If you are transferring to Delta from another institution, you will need to request an official transcript from each college you have attended. Official transcripts may include high school, college, university, GED, ACT, SAT and adult education coursework.
- An unofficial transcript of your Delta grades may either be printed from Portal or requested online from the National Student Clearinghouse.
