Fire Science Technology - Emergency Medical Services
Emergency Medical Services: As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will provide basic emergency pre-hospital care to patients involved in accidents, injuries, or sudden illness. Places of employment include fire and police departments, rescue operations, ambulance services, hospitals, and industrial sites.
In preparation for you to register in the program there are some items that need your attention in order for you to enroll in the EMS courses. As a clinical student, it is your responsibility to maintain current health records while in the EMT program. For admission to all clinical agencies, students must have on a file a copy of the following:

The Delta College exposure control plan for students enrolling in a clinical setting should be viewed before completing the Hepatitis B Acknowledgement/Release form. Click Exposure Control to view these documents.
Please bring the required information and documentation to Michelle White, Academic Career Experience & Service Learning Manager, in the ACE Office, A003 (West Courtyard Level). Once complete, you will receive permission to register in EMS 110, 111, 112, and 113. You must concurrently register in all four courses unless otherwise stated by the Fire Science Coordinator, Leonardo Garcia.
