We were reminded recently of the value of Delta College’s Planetarium as an anchor in Downtown Bay City. President Emeritus Don Carlyon shared memories of the work done by he and his successor, Dr. Peter Boyse, former Trustees Paul Rowley and Ruth Jaffe, as well as many other community leaders, as they all sought funding from NASA to build the new college facility. The theater shows have served well over a half million visitors since the building’s dedication in 1997.
