Taking student art to the surrounding communities

In March, the Saginaw Art Museum hosted the annual Delta College Student Art Exhibition.

The art faculty chose from the work of about 60 students to display, which incorporated art from a variety of media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography and graphic design, created during the 2023-24 academic year. Those selected works were then curated for the exhibit by the Saginaw Art Museum staff.

“For several years we have elected to have our end of the year student exhibition hosted off campus in our surrounding communities,” said Mike Glowacki, art professor. “Having this event off campus offers our students the chance to showcase their work in
a professional setting.

He added, “We thank the Saginaw Art Museum for graciously hosting the amazing work of our students and, in turn, hope the exhibition served as a draw to shine a spotlight on a beautiful venue that is an arts hub for our area.”
