Delta College is beginning the process of selecting a mascot that will rally school spirit and build excitement around our campus.

The process begins today with the launch of a campaign to gather ideas for the mascot.

This is open to anyone who would like to nominate an idea for the mascot. We are reaching out to our students, alumni, staff and faculty and the general public for ideas. We want as many choices as we can get.

Let your voice be heard and enter your idea through our mascot entry form.

You may submit as many ideas as you like. We are gathering mascot ideas through November 20, 2022.

Some of the things we will consider as we narrow the choices include:

• Easy to recognize, understand and pronounce
• Shows a sense of community
• Positively represents the image of the college
• Portrays the values of Delta College
• Reflects Michigan identity (preferred)
• Must be unique and not duplicate an area high school or university mascot

Once nominations are made and narrowed down based on the criteria above, students, alumni, staff and faculty will have another opportunity for input through a voting process.
