The Delta College Planetarium has launched a new online ticketing system to allow
visitors to purchase tickets in advance of a show.
Prior to the new system, showgoers had to purchase tickets in person an hour before the start of a performance. While tickets can still be purchased in person, Mike Murray, Planetarium manager, said the new system will help with the overall experience for visitors.
“The Planetarium draws audiences from a wide area that goes beyond the Great Lakes Bay Region, and because many of our specials often sell out, we want to make sure those travelling from outside Bay City have a chance to assure themselves of a ticket before they arrive,” he said.
To purchase tickets to an upcoming show, visit delta.edu/planetarium, click on “Showtimes & Tickets.” Visitors can print the QR code or save it to their phone, where it will be scanned at the door to the Planetarium theater. Ticket prices will not increase. For a limited time, tickets purchased online are $5 instead of $7.
