The Delta College Planetarium will celebrate the Halloween season with a special music show for families and adults.
“The Monster Light Show” begins Saturday, October 14 with performances at 2pm and 7pm on Saturdays through October 28.
Audiences can enjoy classic and favorite Halloween tunes such as “Bad Moon Rising,”
“Scary Monsters Super Creeps,” “This Is Halloween,” “Monster Mash,” “Spirit in the
Sky” and “Thriller,” all set to immersive 3-D animation and light effects inside the
planetarium’s Dome360 Theatre. Ideally suited for family audiences, the visuals are
funny, spooky, mesmerizing and sometimes spinning through imaginative landscapes.
“While popular with families, we see a lot of adults coming as well,” said Mike Murray,
planetarium manager. “It’s become a classic favorite of the Halloween season and we
love that it draws such a wide audience. Some of the special effects will even be
performed live in a VJ-style.”
Tickets are available for purchase at tickets.delta.edu/mainstore. Advance purchase is recommended due to the popularity of the show. Tickets are $7
for adults, $5 for students, children 3-18, seniors, and military. Due to the intense
sound and lights, the show is not recommended for children under six.
