Delta College is currently accepting scholarship applications from future and current students for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Nearly 250 scholarships supplied by the Delta College Foundation are available, with many of them including multiple recipients. Last year, $936,500 was awarded to 820 students.
One of those 820 was Tori Malone.
“Having a scholarship allows me to really focus on school in a way I wouldn't be able to if I had to work more,” Tori Malone said. “Plus, it was a little confidence boost for me. I've always been a pretty successful student, but I've never gotten much credit for it. So just receiving that little bit of recognition, meant a whole lot to me and my family.”
Any Delta student can apply for a scholarship, which can help with the cost of tuition and other costs and it’s a gift, so students don’t have to pay it back. Most scholarships are worth $1,000. Notification will be in April, 2024.
The scholarship application includes essays, which are scored anonymously by scholarship raters. Judging criteria includes word count, spelling and grammar, and demonstration of knowledge and emotional connection. The deadline to apply is February 1, 2024.
Every year, the Delta College Foundation supports hundreds of students through the generosity of donors who provide funding for the scholarships. See a list of all scholarships.
Any individuals considering attending Delta fall semester 2024 are encouraged to apply for a scholarship.
