In celebration of LGBTQ Awareness Month, Delta will be hosting the Family Diversity
Project's photo exhibit “We Have Faith: LGBT Clergy, Allied Clergy and People of Faith
Speak Out” through the month of April in the library. An opening reception and interfaith
prayer led by Rev. Greg Coles of the Unity of Bay City Spiritual Center will be held
on Monday, April 3 at 2pm in Founder’s Hall, just outside of the library.
The photo exhibit challenges the stereotype of spiritual traditions and religious
leaders as being intolerant to the experiences, needs and rights of LGBTQ+ people
and those they love. This exhibit features profiles and experiences of LGBTQ clergy
and spiritual leaders as they unite to share their personal stories and histories.
It highlights their commitment to peace, justice and civil rights through their work
in religious establishments of all kinds.
These events are sponsored by Delta College Student Engagement in celebration of LGBTQ
