The Delta College Planetarium & Learning Center in Bay City will celebrate the Halloween season with a music entertainment show specially designed for families and adults. “The Halloween Music Show” premieres Saturday, October 7 at 7pm and plays every Saturday through October 28.
Audiences will enjoy classic and favorite Halloween tunes such as “Bad Moon Rising,” “I Put a Spell on You,” “Thriller” and “Superstition,” all set to immersive computer animation and light effects inside the planetarium’s Dome360 Theatre. Ideally suited for family audiences, the visuals are funny, spooky and sometimes even whirling.
“Some of the special effects will be performed live, giving the show a kind of ‘VJ’ style,” says Mike Murray, Astronomer and Manager of the Delta Planetarium. “We’ll also be looking for audience feedback with surveys at the end of each show so we can design our own original production for next year,” adds Murray.
“The Halloween Music Show” plays every Saturday at 7pm, from October 7 through the October 28. Tickets go on sale at the planetarium one hour before show time. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students, children, seniors and military. Due to the intense effects the show is not recommended for children under six.
