The Delta College Planetarium and Learning Center in Bay City will celebrate the Halloween season with a music entertainment show specially designed for families and adults. “The Monster Show” premieres Saturday, October 6th at 7pm and plays every Saturday in October through the 27.
Audiences can enjoy classic and favorite Halloween tunes such as “Bad Moon Rising,” “Scary Monsters Super Creeps,” “This Is Halloween,” “Spirit in the Sky” and “Thriller,” all set to full-dome computer animation and light effects inside the planetarium’s Digital 360 Theatre. Ideally suited for family audiences, the visuals are funny, spooky, and sometimes whirling through imaginative landscapes.
“This is becoming a new tradition at the Delta Planetarium as we introduce new songs and customized visual production each year,” says Mike Murray, the manager of the planetarium. “Some of the special effects will even be performed live, like in a VJ-style” adds Murray.
“The Monster Light Show” plays every Saturday in October at 7pm, from the 6th through the 27th. Tickets go on sale at the planetarium one hour before show time. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students, children, seniors and military. Due to the intense sound and lights the show is not recommended for children under six.
