Delta College's policy with respect to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests is to comply with State Law in all respects and to respond to FOIA requests in a consistent, fair and even-handed manner regardless of who makes such a request. These requests may also be referred to as Public Record Requests or Open Record Requests as terminology varies from state to state.
It is the public policy of the State of Michigan that all persons (except those incarcerated) are entitled to full and complete information regarding the affairs of government and the official acts of those who represent them as public officials and public employees. Michigan Freedom of Information Act Public Act 442 of 1976, MCL 15.231, et seq.
