The Delta College Art + Design Associate of Fine Arts Program annually invites professional artists of the Michigan area to apply for the fall semester Visiting Artist Grant.
Requirements to apply
The Delta College Permanent Art Collection Committee is seeking visiting artist applicants with diverse interests, backgrounds, mediums that are active professional artists within their community. See the Delta College Permanent Art Collection page for more information.
The chosen artist for the academic year will be awarded a 3,500 grant to be used for:
- Visiting artist fees
- Transportation costs
- The purchase of one work from the visiting artist’s exhibit to be added to the Delta College Permanent Art Collection.
Fulfillment of the grant
- The selected artist would be asked to exhibit their work in Delta College’s S-Wing Gallery during the Fall semester which occurs from September to Mid-December.
- The artist will be asked to lead a lecture and or workshop for students.
- The artist will have an artwork from the exhibition purchased by Delta College and become part of Delta College’s Permanent Art Collection.
Materials to include
- 10 to 20 artwork image files, in a single folder, .jpg format.
- A written proposal of what work would be exhibited, a written proposal of the workshop/lecture, and any additional context of your work you think would be valuable to committee members in making their decision.
Deadline
Open for submission year round. Applicants will be notified if they are chosen for a future academic year.
