The Center for Digital Education (CDE) recently announced the winners of its 2017-18
Digital Community Colleges Survey. Now in its thirteenth year, the Digital Community
Colleges Survey analyzes how community colleges use a range of technologies to improve
services to students, faculty, staff and their community.
Delta College tied for fourth place on the list for mid-sized community colleges.
This is the sixth consecutive year Delta College has received recognition as a tech-savvy
college.
“I’m very pleased Delta College was recognized again this year by the Center for Digital Education as one of the top community colleges in the nation for utilizing the latest technology to provide a top-quality learning environment,” said Dr. Jean Goodnow, Delta College President.
Award winners demonstrated innovative uses of technology, including online courses and mobile environments, mobile apps, secure platforms and wireless networks.

- 5th – Piedmont Virginia Community College, Virginia
- 6th – Kansas City Kansas Community College, Kansas
- 7th – Georgia Piedmont Technical College, Georgia
- 8th – Davidson County Community College, North Carolina
- 8th – Mott Community College, Michigan
- 9th – Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Minnesota
- 10th – Genesee Community College, New York
- 10th – Lake Land College, Illinois

- J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, Virginia (Enrollment 10,000 students or more)
- Walters State Community College, Tennessee (Enrollment between 5,000 and 10,000 students)
- Manchester Community College, New Hampshire (Enrollment of 5,000 or fewer students)
