Program Overview
As a computer support specialist, you will provide help and advice to people and organizations using computer software or equipment. Some, called computer network support specialists, support information technology (IT) employees within their organization. Others, called computer user support specialists, assist non-IT users who are having computer problems.
This degree includes both business skills and computer skills to prepare you for work in a high-tech business world. Students in this degree program will be prepared to work in a business that utilizes or caters to computer technology. Because there are two different tracks, students can choose classes to focus their degree toward working in or managing an office that utilizes computer technology or towards working as a provider of computer technology skills, such as a programmer, web developer or technician.
