Are you interested in a career in healthcare, science, mathematics, engineering or computer science but not sure where to begin?
Starting your educational journey in Delta College’s associate in science program is the smart choice if you want to get ahead! At Delta, you’ll find customizable learning paths, small class sizes, affordable tuition rates and the resources you’ll need to succeed.
Explore your interests. Discover your passions.
Many students enroll in college with an undecided or undeclared major. At Delta, you can explore your academic interests and discover your passions while completing your general education requirements. “Being on the soccer team was my big reason for coming to Delta College, and just to get my feet wet in terms of the college lifestyle and experiences,” says Elizabeth Swope, associate of science student. “I am able to get the general education requirements out of the way before I make that big decision of what [program] I truly want to major in.”
In Michigan, public colleges and universities adhere to the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA). So, if you’re not sure which major you’d like to choose or which university will be best, you can rest easy knowing your general education credits will transfer anywhere.
Small class sizes. BIG benefits.
Delta’s small class sizes provide a welcoming and supportive learning environment. “At Delta, they’re comfortable class sizes of anywhere between 10 to 30 students,” says Brendan Stachowiak, an associate of science student. “You get to know the teachers a lot better. And the teacher gets a better sense of how everyone’s doing.” This close-knit atmosphere builds your confidence and ensures you’re prepared for the next step.
Save BIG!
Delta offers the lowest in-district tuition rates within a 75-mile radius. By starting here, you can save tens of thousands of dollars on your education. Plus, Delta provided financial aid to over half its students last year, with $23 million distributed, including $936,500 in scholarships. You may even qualify for free tuition with Michigan Reconnect or the Community College Guarantee!
Start here. Transfer anywhere.
Delta has over 180 transfer agreements with universities across Michigan and beyond, making the transition easier than ever. “The variety of pathways that a student can explore here at Delta, are designed with the student in mind. It’s designed to be responsive to whatever that student needs,” says Stacy Stremlow, associate director of Academic Advising. “Come to Delta, explore what you want to do. We’ll get you on the right option based on where your values are leading you and where your future is going to take you.”
